In the northern half, narrow sidewalks border broad, paved streets with plenty of space for residents to park. In the south, winding roads lead residents around the desert landscape where homes are fewer and farther between. Westside Development is served by the Tucson Unified School District, offering residents several different schools to choose from. Students can begin their education at Tolson Elementary School and Mansfeld Middle School, both of which scored a C-plus on Niche. Students can finish their education at Cholla High School, which boasts a student-teacher ratio of 17-to-1, along with a Niche score of B-Minus. Cholla is the only high school in the district and the first in Pima County to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, which allows students to earn up to 36 college credit hours as well as significant scholarships.
