Lake Yahola is a neighborhood that is open to explore. The reservoir bearing its name hold more than two billion gallons of water and is a popular spot for fishing along the shoreline where residents can reel in catfish and large-mouth bass. One of Tulsa’s most popular attractions sits right in the neighborhood with The Tulsa Zoo home to more than 2,000 species of wildlife. Residents can see animals as diverse as Malaysian tigers, black howler monkeys, and white rhinos. In neighboring Mohawk Park, more than 2,800 acres of green space and recreation infrastructure including more than 100 tennis courts, a soccer complex, two skate parks and a golf course, along with 60 miles of trails connecting to Oxley Nature Center that is filled with natural wetlands and is a haven for bird watching.Tulsa School District
Students start off at Anderson Elementary School. The school is known for offering enriched learning experiences from a focus on STEM and the Masterwork Academy for music, visual art and ballet. Students move on to Monroe Middle School and McClain High School. All three schools are rated a C-minus on Niche.com.

Highway access downtown
The west side of Lake Yahola straddles US-75 providing access to downtown Tulsa. Alternatively, MetroLink Tulsa provides service for residents without a personal vehicle, but riders will need to get closer to downtown to catch a ride. Tulsa International Airport also sits right in the neighborhood, offering several regional and international destinations for travelers.Fresh fish and home style dining
While shopping options are limited in Lake Yahola, residents still have a few places to satisfy their palates. At White River Fish Market guests can get the full restaurant experience as well as a fully-stocked market enjoying Alaskan king crab to catfish sandwiches. At Sami’s Pizza and Hamburgers residents can experience an old school diner with a daily pizza buffet. For everyday shopping and grocery needs a Costco is also nearby.
