This is one of the largest car shows in the nation, featuring 1,500 classic vehicles. The Tulsa State Fair is one of the largest family events, lasting 11 days. Fair visitors spend the day enjoying carnival food, thrilling rides and fun shows. Paradise Beach Waterpark is the place to cool down on those hot Tulsa days. This serves as a great place for all ages, whether it’s relaxing within their cabanas or getting drenched on their rides.Shopping and dining between Yale Avenue and Sheridan Road
Wedgewood sits between Yale Ave and Sheridan Road, which carries loads of local offerings. 100 Grill & Hot Pot provides locals with an authentic all-you-can-eat food experience. This restaurant offers a create-your-own hot pot. Tally’s Good Food Cafe is a retro and historic Route 66 diner. This establishment has been a Tulsa staple for over a century, and many of its dishes have been named the best in the city. Locals are drawn to the chicken fried steak and their fat boy cheeseburgers. Knotty Pig BBQ Burger and Chili House is beloved for their casual, friendly service with down-home barbecue flavors. A popular dish is their pulled pork sandwiches. Home chefs can pick up their ingredients at Reasor’s on Yale Ave. Next to Reasor’s sits a Target and Burlington. Hoover Elementary School receives a C-minus rating on Niche, and provides instruction from kindergarten through fifth grade. It is a designated Leader in Me school, meaning students are empowered with leadership and life skills for their future. Students can then attend Hale Middle School, which receives a C-minus rating. This school allows students to participate in 15 extracurricular activities and take career tech learning courses. Nathan Hale High School is where students can earn their diplomas. This C-rated school features the district’s only culinary arts education program. Students learn in their public kitchen and gain experience in the culinary and hospitality industry.Easy access to major routes
Wedgewood is centrally located for commuters. Three miles north is Interstate 244, which connects up to U.S. Route 75, which runs north and south, offering ways into Turley or Glenpool. Interstate 44 is 2 miles south and runs southwest towards Oklahoma City and northeast towards Missouri.
