Stoneleigh
Ranch-style houses with brick facades
Stoneleigh offers a variety of single and multifamily options for homebuyers to consider. Texas Ranch-style houses with brick facades and gabled roofs typically cost between $400,000 and $600,000. Many of these homes sit under the shade of tall oak and pine trees and feature well-manicured front lawns and backyard swimming pools. Modest townhouses and apartment complexes are also available and range from $200,000 to $300,000. Although the neighborhood doesn’t have sidewalks, the wide roads are still pedestrian-friendly, and residents walking their dogs is a common sight.Walking trails connect to Southside Park
Stoneleigh holds a little-known secret that makes it popular for walkers and bicyclists. The South Tyler Trail runs along Grande Boulevard and connects to multiple walking paths throughout Tyler, including the Rose Rudman and Southside trails. Those who stroll the 5.7-mile concrete footpath will pass through forests, creeks and numerous green spaces, including Southside Park, which features basketball courts and a playground. Hollytree Country Club is just south of the neighborhood and offers different membership levels. The Club’s amenities include swimming pools, a fitness center and tennis courts. The championship golf course was awarded the “Best Golf Course” by the East Texas Reader’s Choice Awards and features 18 holes across winding fairways and glistening ponds.Shop and dine along Broadway Avenue
Although Stoneleigh is primarily residential, homeowners are close to South Broadway Avenue's vibrant shops and restaurants. Times Square Grand Slam is the hub for entertainment and features everything from a movie theatre to bowling and laser tag. Down the street, shoppers flock to Broadway Square for its collection of name-brand retailers, including Lululemon and American Eagle. The retail center opened in 1975 and is one of two major shopping options in the Tyler area. For dining, 1836 Texas Kitchen is popular and features dishes inspired by different regions of the Lone Star State. There is also the Texas Music City Grill & Smokehouse, a rustic-style eatery where people can enjoy barbecue and live music. FRESH by Brookshire’s provides the neighborhood with fresh produce and groceries.Highly rated Tyler public schools
The Tyler Independent School District serves the neighborhood’s younger residents. Students begin their education at Rice Elementary and Hubbard Middle School, both of which received an A-minus rating on Niche. Hubbard Middle School received a brand-new campus in 2024 and welcomed its first students in August of that same year. Tyler Legacy High School also received an A-minus rating and is the largest high school in East Texas, with a student body of nearly 2,700. The High School offers numerous advanced placement classes and over 20 varsity-level sports. Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School is an A-plus-rated private education option for parents to consider.Head to the Tyler Farmers Market
The Tyler Farmers Market is open four days a week and runs all summer long. Visitors can peruse the aisles of fresh and colorful produce from local East Texas farmers. The market is a little under 2 miles away and offers goods ranging from homegrown tomatoes and peaches to honey and canned delicacies.
Well-connected transportation routes
South Broadway Avenue runs parallel to the neighborhood and connects to downtown Tyler, 6 miles away. Tyler Pounds Regional Airport is 11 miles away and services multiple daily flights to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. Dallas is 105 miles away, roughly equal to a 2-hour drive.
