Privacy and space with mountain views

Gleneagle’s spacious landscape and rolling hills separate it from other northern Colorado Springs neighborhoods. Privacy and space are paramount, while panoramic views of the mountains provide a postcard-quality backdrop. “The area is a bit more relaxed,” Aimee Fletcher, with Fletcher Team & Associates, says. “There are lots of kids, people walking their dogs, running and biking.” Across the interstate from the Airforce Academy, Gleneagle includes lots of commuting while tucked away from the hustle and bustle of surrounding areas like Northgate. “Kids play basketball at the elementary school and can ride their bikes around anywhere,” Fletcher says. Gleneagle receives a 2 out of 10 on the Crime Cap Index, lower than the U.S. national average of 4.

Contemporary and tri-level homes with plenty of space

Well-manicured lawns with a sprinkle of trees not much taller than the homes line the blocks throughout the neighborhood. “The area is known for phenomenal views,” Fletcher says. Some areas have no sidewalks, while others have enough space for one person to use comfortably. Roads throughout the neighborhood offer enough space for street parking without impeding traffic, and many homes have a driveway for extra parking. House prices range from around $450,000 for tri-level and contemporary-style homes with a garage to more than a million for new construction, contemporary homes with picturesque views of the mountains and space between neighbors. A few areas include HOA fees, mostly under $50 a month. Houses in Gleneagle sell, on average, after 48 days on the market, compared to the national average of 43.

Explore the forests at Fox Run Regional Park

Gleneagle residents won’t find a park within walking distance of their front step, but outdoor activity is not far away. Fox Run Regional Park encompasses more than 400 acres, just a few miles away. Hikers, bikers and even horse riders take to the trails and explore the park’s forest. The pavilion in front of a blue pond with a fountain provides a natural scene for wedding ceremonies and birthday parties. Mary Kyler Park’s vast green fields and small rocky waterfall flowing into the pond attract residents from all nearby communities. The children race around the tan and brown playground while parents watch the ducks swimming in the pond with the mountain range touching the clouds in the background. Golfers and non-golfers alike drive the ball as far as they can at Top Golf, just a few miles from the neighborhood.

Bearbotics Club for STEM students in District 38

Antelope Trails Elementary School receives a B-plus from Niche, where students can participate in performances like Alladin Jr. the Musical and Handbell Concert at Jackson Creek Senior Living Center. Lewis-Palmer Middle School may be the next step for Gleneagle students, which earns an A-minus. Lewis-Palmer offers Career Technical Education exploratory courses to help connect students to career possibilities. Teenagers can attend the highly-rated Lewis-Palmer High School, an A-minus institution. Lewis-Palmer High is part of the School District 38 Bearbotics Club, a high-achievement learning program for STEM students building custom and complex robots using the latest technology.

Plenty of commuting near the Airforce Academy

Gleneagle residents require a car to run most errands and head to work. There is limited public transportation in the area with little walkability. Downtown Colorado Springs is a straight shot down Interstate 25 for about 17 miles, while the Colorado Springs Airport is around 28 miles southeast. St. Francis Hospital – Interquest and UCHealth Interquest Medical Center are the nearest hospitals, about six miles down I-25. The Air Force Academy is a few miles away across I-25. “There is lots of commuting going on in Gleneagle,” Fletcher says.

Several restaurants near Northgate Boulevard

Don Tequila Mexican Grill’s Mexican and Tex-Mex menu includes seafood options and margaritas in a modern building just north of the neighborhood. South of Gleneagle, along Interstate 25, is the popular Northgate neighborhood, with several eateries and shops. Heart of Jerusalem serves Middle Eastern favorites, like falafel and kabobs, with smooth wooden booth seating chandelier lamps from the ceiling. This commercial corridor off North Gate Boulevard includes fast-food and chain restaurants and several shopping options at the Northgate Plaza Shopping Mall. Two nearby King Soopers locations provide groceries and essentials for Gleneagle residents.

Very friendly people and pet friendly. The HOA is a big of an annoyance but it OK. I feel like you have a view of the mountains everywhere you are in Gleaneagle. Also very close to an awesome dog park and lots of restaurants without having super busy roads.
