Two neighborhoods in one
While California might not be the first state that comes to mind when someone mentions retirement, the Leisure Town neighborhood of Vacaville offers residents 55 and over a tight-knit and active community with plenty of amenities to keep them active and engaged. And while the core of the neighborhood is centered on retired residents, there is a section of the neighborhood without age restrictions, further adding to the diversity of Leisure Town. Whether it’s taking advantage of the offerings at the Leisure Town Center, walking one of the many trails in the neighborhood, visiting a local park or even taking the 30-mile drive north to Sacramento, residents of Leisure Town have access to a range of nearby amenities. Interstate 85 marks the neighborhood’s western boundary, offering easy highway access, and the NorthBay Health VacaValley Hospital is in the neighborhood, providing nearby medical services if the need arises.

For outdoor recreation, Stonegate Park, in the neighborhood’s southeastern quadrant, has a playground, basketball court and plenty of open space for play or relaxation.

GreatSchools:
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
