Brigadoon has parks and proximity to city shopping
Folks settle in Brigadoon for its market of established suburban homes which are within walking distance of neighborhood parks and the forested Stumpy Lake Natural Area. “Buyers are drawn to the area’s affordability compared to the city,” says Jillian Hill, a Virginia Beach local and broker with Prodigy Realty. “You can get more house for your money around Brigadoon.” Locals can also appreciate Brigadoon’s centralized location between several Virginia Beach shopping districts and its proximity to the Hampton Roads region’s major military employers. The community features a civic league that organizes gatherings on behalf of residents.

Brigadoon features a variety of split-levels, ramblers, and brick Colonial Revivals built in the 1970s and ‘80s. These single-family homes range in price from $320,000 to $550,000, varying by square footage. A drive through the community reveals grid-patterned streets, consistent sidewalks and a modest tree canopy. The Brigadoon Civic League maintains community engagement by organizing events like yard sales and hosting volunteer opportunities to support neighbors and their needs.
