North End boasts the best assets of beachfront living in North Virginia Beach
North End, a beachfront community in North Virginia Beach, offers the kind of setting beach-loving homebuyers dream of. Mostly residential, the neighborhood is quiet, well-landscaped and designed to enhance the best of a beachfront lifestyle. “Living in North End offers you premier access to the beach, nearby inlets and bays, waterside dining and a very neighborly atmosphere,” says Mimi Elliott, a Realtor for nearly 10 years with Atkinson Realty.
North End offers residents year-round luxury living, from elegant waterfront estates to cozy beachside cottages and townhomes. "There is a huge sense of community and comradery here. Everyone knows everybody, and it’s a place people come to stay,” Elliot says. “Many residents have lived here for generations.”

Waterfront homes and luxury condominiums are eye-catching and hot
“People who live in North End want to live at the beach. It’s as simple as that,” says Elliott. Three-story beach condominiums offer ocean views and easy access to the beach. Bayside mansions feature expansive decks and boat docks, granting access to Crystal Lake. Many subdivisions have community pools, playgrounds and walking trails. Condominiums start around $400,000 while beachfront homes can range to several million dollars. The median home price is $1,440,500. While the neighborhood has been seemingly built out for decades, there are new homes and duplexes in North End. Some were built where former small beach bungalows existed, with the kitchen and living area on the second or third floor and a garage, full bath and bedroom on the first floor.
