Hoxsie Elementary enrolls over 250 students in grades K-5, and is situated near these leafy residential streets, making it a true neighborhood institution. The student-teacher ratio is 16 to 1 and the school holds a B-rating from Niche in the teachers category. Warwick Veterans Memorial Middle School is rated a C-plus on Niche, and has over 1,000 students enrolled in grades 6-8. Yet students still get close attention with a student-teacher ratio of 12 to 1, helping the school receive a B-minus from Niche in the academics category. Pilgrim High is equally as big, enrolling over 1,000 students. It earned a B-minus from Niche in the clubs and activities category. The cheerleading, ice hockey and soccer teams all won division championships in 2019. Hoxie residents also have access to the central branch of the Warwick Public Library, which enhances the neighborhood’s look with its bold redbrick face.

Warwick Avenue retail and major highway access
Bruce Lane, a broker with Lane Ceceri Group with over 20 years of real estate experience, says, “Walkability depends on the neighborhood in Warwick. Hoxie is definitely walkable, but not really known for being bikable.” Residents can head to the major commercial corridor of Warwick Avenue. This is also the local connection to Interstate 95, which gets residents to downtown Providence after a 10-mile drive north.
