Sidewalk chalk art and basketball hoops in front of Hidden Glen homes
The neighborhood’s roadshomes are lined along curving streets, bend and curve, hiding the park at the center. Young trees grow alongside sidewalks colored with chalk drawings and driveways adorned with basketball hoops. The homes generally sell for between $200,000 and $400,000 dollars. Older and smaller Cape Cods and ranch-style homes from the 1950s on the eastern side of the neighborhood are generally less expensive. In the more modern section opposite of it, contemporary New Traditional homes built at the turn of 21st century are on the higher side.Strolling around the lake at Park in the Glenn
Encompassed by the neighborhood, Park in the Glenn backs many of the homes here, so residents can step into their backyard or walk down the street to access this green space. The wooded area has a lake in the center, encircled by a walking path. Kids can play at the blue and black playground at Corrine J. Rose Park, a large district park with tennis courts, baseball fields, open green space and a recreation center. In the summer, the new lime green and blue waterpark has fountain and bucket features to cool kids off while they play. Greenbelt Forest Preserve offers 5 miles of hiking trails along 4 miles of biking and cross-country skiing paths. Two separate campuses for Waukegan High students
