Just on the other side of 10th Street, people can hike along the 5 miles of wooded trails at Greenbelt Forest Preserve. Commuters can use this route to get to the Waukegan Metra station, 2.5 miles away and running all the way to downtown Chicago, 39 miles away. Waukegan’s hospital, Vista Medical Center – East, is 3.5 miles northeast. When catching a flight, Waukegan residents head to Chicago O’Hare International Airport, 31 miles from Norshore Park.
