Suburban comfort on the west end of Weirton

Sitting on the very western edge of Weirton, Marland Heights offers the essential suburban experience in the Ohio Valley. Residents live in 20th century homes situated on a mix of curved and parallel streets. Marland Heights Road, the only way in and out of the neighborhood, connects the area to downtown Weirton and Steubenville for shopping, dining and events. In addition to the connections to the northern reaches of West Virginia and Ohio, the area’s proximity to Pittsburgh makes it a compelling option for commuters. “People who work in the city, they don’t want the higher taxes in Pennsylvania," says Jim Arehart, a Realtor with Century 21st Greathouse. "They build and buy in the West Virginia panhandle."
