Going south near Route 22, Kroger, Busy Beaver and Big Lots offer specialized closeouts and sale items, while Walmart is a go-to for everyday items.
The Three Springs Drive area offers a mix of Weirton originals and chain restaurants. A wall of desert vistas and sugar skulls set the tone at Crazy Mexican Restaurant & Grill, which offers a broad menu of southwestern specialties. Mario DiCarlo’s Pizza offers pies baked in the local style, with cold toppings placed on a warm, rectangular crust. For casual chain fare, locals can also head to familiar stops like Wendy’s, Eat ’n Park and Dairy Queen nearby.

Northeast of the neighborhood, Starvaggi Memorial Park offers courts for roller hockey, badminton, and bocce. Steve Dorich Memorial Park is a smaller neighborhood park on the northwest side of Weirton with a picnic area, basketball courts and a playground. Weirton Elementary School serves about 800 students across the West Virginia side of the northeast Ohio Valley, offering courses for kids from pre-kindergarten through fourth grade.
