Wellesley Farms
Classic and impressive single-family homes
Here at Wellesley Farms, stately Colonial Revivals and Tudor Revivals from the early to mid-20th century dot the picturesque landscape, with some inviting Cape Cods and Workers Cottages in the mix. Occasionally some of these older homes get torn down and are replaced with custom new builds. Homes are often framed by impressive landscaping, seasonal outdoor décor, horseshoe-shaped driveways and winding roads that bring an elegant feel. homes generally range from around $1 million to more than $6 million. The more exclusive estates on acre-sized lots often have separate guest and pool houses, as well as indoor and outdoor sports complexes. These can top eight figures, ranging up to $10 to $15 million.Highly rated public, private and higher-education institutes
Students in the community often attend Wellesley Public Schools, which is rated by Niche as the No.2 best public school district in Norfolk County. Area primary schools include Isaac Sprague Elementary School and Otho L. Schofield Elementary School, both of which have an A Niche grade. Students then attend the A-plus Wellesley Middle School and go on to Wellesley High School. “All elementary students funnel into one middle school and one high school,” says Adler. Considered by Niche as the No. 7 best public high school in Massachusetts, Wellesley High has an A-plus rating and offers many dual-enrollment courses. Options for private schooling include the PreK-6 Saint John School and Dana Hall School, which is the No. 2 best all-girls high school in the state. Higher education institutes in town include Babson College, MassBay Community College and the highly reputable Wellesley College, a private liberal arts institution for women with over 70 programs of study. “There are definitely benefits to having these colleges in town,” Adler says. “The campuses are beautiful, there are speakers and events, and it’s easy to find babysitters.”Recreational opportunities around Wellesley

Warren Park abuts the department building, featuring sports fields and a big playground. In addition, residents are often spotted jogging or walking their dogs along the scenic trails that connect the neighborhood with other parts of the town, including Crosstown Trail and the popular Brook Path. In wintertime, little children in the neighborhood will go ice skating and snow sledding on the myriad of small ponds and hills that dot the community. Those who like cross-country skiing or snowshoeing can head about 1 mile north to Weston and visit the ski resort Weston Ski Track. With a long membership waitlist, the private Wellesley Country Club has an 18-hole course and is an important social venue for area residents.Commerce along Washington Street
The area's shops and restaurants are concentrated along Washington Street, including the Chinese eatery CK Shanghai and Papa Razzi, offering wood-fired pizza and casual Italian fare. Farther west along Washington Street are local cafes, restaurants and Whole Foods Market. Linden Square has additional businesses, dining spots and Roche Bros. Target is about 8 miles away in Watertown. “Shop locally thrives here, and it’s great to see,” Adler says. “There’s Isabel Harvey, Wellesley Books and The Cheese Shop to name a few.”Social events in Wellesley

The community also has seasonal celebrations such as spring and fall festivals and a Festival of Trees event for the winter holidays.Proximity to Boston
The community is near Massachusetts Route 9 and Interstates 90 and 95. Residents can walk to the Wellesley Farms train station and catch the MBTA commuter rail to Boston. “Wellesley Farms is the closest station to Boston, so some people who want to cut some commute time may choose this neighborhood,” Adler says. Boston and Logan International Airport are about 15 and 17 miles east via Interstate 90. Newton-Wellesley Hospital is across from Interstate 95 and is 2 miles east of the neighborhood.
