In the heart of Woodside, Shadow Oak Park is surrounded by a system of footpaths, providing walkability to the recreation area from most neighbors’ homes. “It's a nice park. I used to go to the basketball courts often,” says Realtor Edwardo Lopez, who works with Realty One Group Masters and has about two years of experience in the area. The park also offers tennis courts, ballfields and a playground. Situated atop a hill, the park has views of the San Gabriel Mountains, making it a favorite spot for picnics at sunset. Gingrich Park, on the west side of Woodside, also has accessibility with a trail system that weaves through residential streets. For this reason, it’s a local favorite to bring dogs on a stroll, plus it has picnic pavilions. A couple of miles south of the community, Sunshine Park features a splash pad as well as outdoor exercise equipment.

On the south side of West Covina, Woodside is composed of winding subdivisions of single-family homes. The area’s yards tend to have ample space for backyard patios and garden beds, where palm trees and succulents are landscaping staples. Built in the 1970s, ranch-style homes, split-levels and midcentury two-story homes the most common architecture. These homes range from $800,000 to $1 million. Many of these houses also feature scenery of the surrounding hills or the San Gabriel Mountains. “The people who bought the home I sold really liked the view,” says Realtor Sarah Sees, who works with Seven Gables Real Estate and has about five years of experience in the region. “The neighborhood has good views.” The north and south ends of Woodside have condo and townhouse complexes, some with amenities like community pools and barbecues. Condos and townhouses range from $550,000 to $750,000.
