Small-town living in a walkable West Fargo neighborhood
As the city of West Fargo continues to expand and neighborhoods become increasingly car-dependent, Meyer residents appreciate their area for its walkability and proximity to local parks, schools and shopping. Long sidewalks stretch along Meyer's suburban streets and grassy lawns, making it easy for families to get outside or for folks to spend time with their neighbors. Having nearby amenities like the Hulbert Aquatic Center or the Veteran's Memorial Arena also enables folks to get out and about while also supporting community athletics. "We invite people to come out to group events like skating at Skate City or to go see the Red Hawks play," says Jodi Van Peursem, an office administrator at Red River Church, which is located within the neighborhood. "You really get a sense for the small-town community in what I would call this little-big city."
