Boynton Beach Free Monthly Concert Series takes place at Centennial Park in the amphitheater on the first Friday of each month. Along with the music, the city brings out food and artisan vendors. For the Fourth of July, Boynton goes all out at Intracoastal Park with one of the biggest fireworks shows in Palm Beach County. Attendees can also enjoy live music and food trucks.
Flakowitz is a deli and bakery that has served the Boynton area for over 50 years. The restaurant was also featured on Guy Fieri’s show “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives”, and now has a dish named after it, offering matzo ball soup, knish and stuffed cabbage. Al Atico Columbian Restaurant’s menu features Columbian dishes like grilled beef liver, blood sausage and arepas.
West Boynton residents can find two grocery stores located within the neighborhood—Western Beef and Aldi. Along the Military Trail is a Walmart Supercenter, just outside of West Boynton’s boundaries. The nearest Publix is in Aberdeen Square, also just right across from the neighborhood.
Students can attend several elementary schools in West Boynton, including Manatee Elementary School, which receives an A-minus from Niche. Christa McAuliffe Middle School also earns an A-minus from Niche and offers a pre-information technology choice program where students learn topics on robotics, 3D printing and encryption. The program also allows eighth-grade students to earn high school credit, which can help prepare students enrolling in Park Vista Community High School’s information technology magnet program. The school features several other magnets and Niche awards it an A ranking.
The 3 bus stops along Military Trail and links residents with grocery stores and other amenities. Throughways like Hypoluxo Road and Jog Road link the neighborhood to others and the beach. West Palm Beach is 18 miles from West Boynton, and Boca Raton is 19 miles away. Palm Beach County Park/Lantana Airport is 7.2 miles away, offering regional flights, but West Boynton residents can also head to Palm Beach International Airport, 17 miles away, for increased connectivity. Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital West is 6 miles from the community.
