Older and newer homes, some with Bradley Creek frontage
Along tree-lined streets ending in cul-de-sacs, housing styles vary from brick Craftsmans to two-story colonials. The oldest homes in the neighborhood date back to the mid-1970s, but some were built as recently as 2024. Smaller bungalows range from $400,000 to around $463,000, while larger single-family houses sell for between $615,000 and just over $1.3 million. Townhouses start at $311,000 and go up to $425,000. A few homes on the southwest of the neighborhood feature Bradley Creek frontage and docks. A few subdivisions within Rogersville-Bradley Creek have their own HOAs, including Parsley Woods.Public transportation, driving downtown and the Cross City Trail
Rogersville-Bradley Creek is a mostly car-dependent area, but there are a few Wave Transit bus stops on Military Cutoff Road. “There’s a lot of road construction getting ready to happen in the area,” Newell says, which could lead to increased traffic. The drive west to downtown Wilmington's Cape Fear Riverfront area is around 9 miles on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, which can take up to 18 minutes in heavier traffic. This is about the same distance and time it takes to get to Wilmington International Airport on U.S. Route 74. The neighborhood is bordered to the northeast by Eastwood Road, which runs parallel with the Cross City Trail, a 15-mile walking and biking path that stretches from Halyburton Park and Empie Park to the Heide-Trask Drawbridge at the Intracoastal Waterway.Gardens, beaches, parks and other outdoor amenities
Airlie Gardens displays daffodils, magnolias, tulips and other blooms on 67 acres of land. It hosts events throughout the year, including a concert series. “During the summer, on Friday night, they bring in bands from all over,” Newell says. “Everyone brings a blanket and food, and we sit out under the big oak trees. Bands are playing, and people are socializing; it’s just lovely.” Wrightsville Beach is a few miles away via Eastwood Road and the Cross City Trail. “I’m so close to Wrightsville Beach, I can ride my bike,” Newell says. “We have bike paths now all over the city.” Some HOAs have their own pools and tennis courts, and nearby Long Leaf Park is a green space with a playground and sports fields.Shopping and dining at Mayfaire Town Center and in Airlie neighborhood
Outdoor shopping mall Mayfaire Town Center is about a mile to the north, with over 80 shops and restaurants, including Belk, The Fresh Market and The Melting Pot. It also features a Regal movie theater and Dave & Busters. The mall hosts events like 5K races and a free outdoor fitness series with group yoga and barre sessions. One neighborhood over in Airlie, there are brunch spots and seafood restaurants, like Fish House Grill, as well as Lumina Commons, which has a Harris Teeter along with a few eateries and small businesses.New Hanover County Schools and the University of North Carolina Wilmington
Students living north of Wrightsville Avenue can attend College Park Elementary and Noble Middle, which Niche grades a C-plus and an A-minus, respectively. South of Wrightsville Avenue, zoning is for the B-rated Bradley Creek Elementary and Roland-Grise Middle, which scores an A-minus. All students in the neighborhood may go to Hoggard High, which also earns an A-minus. New Hanover County Schools has year-round, magnet and open-choice school options that are assigned through a lottery system. The neighborhood is also just a few miles from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
