Part of Woodbridge Township in Middlesex County, Iselin is a commuter suburb less than 35 miles outside New York City. Realtor Rosa Cardoso of Keller Williams, who has sold homes in the region for five years, says diversity is one of the highlights of the community. “There’s a large Indian community,” says Cardoso. “Exploring other cultures is one of the best things about Iselin.” Part of what’s known as “Little India,” there are hundreds of South Asian businesses, storefronts, grocery stores and eateries close by.

Most people here commute to Newark or New York City for work, and there are several transit options in the area. In greater Middlesex County, the top industries include health care, food service and manufacturing.
