Logan Township is a rural and outdoorsy area on the Delaware River

Life in Logan Township moves at its own unhurried pace. From boating, fishing, farming and hiking, residents of Logan Township enjoy spending time outdoors. Cradled by the Delaware River, this 23-square-mile community wears many hats - from homes with white picket fences to bustling farmlands and the hum of industry. As Realtor David Marcantuno, a Realtor with Keller Williams Hometown Realty and resident of Logan for 28 years, puts it, “Logan is one of those places that people don’t leave; there’s a waiting list of people trying to get a house here, mainly due to the lower taxes.”

The roots of Logan Township run deep, with settlers arriving in 1820, originally naming it West Woolwich Township. It was later christened in honor of Alexander “Black Jack” Logan, the founder of Memorial Day. Living up to its slogan, “A clean community,” vast farmlands dominate the landscape. Logan Township unfolds in three distinct sections: “You’re either living in Beckett or Bridgeport, then there’s pure land, which is all warehousing and distribution and the third section is the farmland and swampland,” Marcantuno says.

Turn-of-the-century homes and others with contemporary charm

Beckett and Bridgeport offer unique residential experiences, each with architectural charm and a median home price of $298,000. Bridgeport boasts turn-of-the-century retreats featuring Craftsman and Victorian homes with inviting porches, decorative shingles and ornate facades. On the other hand, Beckett exudes a more contemporary charm with colonials and ranch-style residences connected by sidewalks, all with that classic white picket fence. And, if you’re looking for acres of farmland to tend to your own homestead, Logan’s got that too.

Logan Township also has a thriving equestrian community at Gloucester County DREAM Park, where local equestrians compete in competitions and take lessons. The DREAM Park is also the Gloucester County Dog Park site, a 1.5-acre green space built due to the community’s high demand.
