Worcester's signature triple-deckers

“It’s mostly renters,” Allen says of Beacon Brightly. “It’s mostly made up of multifamily homes built between 1890 and 1920.” Triple-decker properties and Victorian-style multifamily homes line the community’s cracked roads. Sidewalks travel up and down the neighborhood’s hills, and a few trees dot urban lots. While prices depend on size, age and condition, investors looking to purchase a multifamily property in the neighborhood can find one for between $560,000 and $1.17 million. A few Colonial Revival or Second Empire single-family homes are sprinkled in, too, with prices ranging from about $135,000 to $312,000.
