Compact residential neighborhood with multiple transportation options

Worcester’s North Quinsigamond Village is located at the bottom of a hill under the watchful gaze of the College of the Holy Cross. This compact urban neighborhood is mainly residential, with local dives sprinkled throughout, and never far from downtown Worcester's amenities by bus, car or bike. Otis Tat, a 10-year real estate agent with Excelsior Realty, says, “People living here have convenience, there’s a Walmart close by, easy access to I-290 and I-90 and Route 146 to get to Rhode Island.”

Triple decker properties and colonials in the Village

Residential prices in the neighborhood range from $160,000 to over $600,000.There is a diversity of home styles available in this community of single-and-multi-family buildings. Classic Worcester triple-deckers are mixed with and more traditional suburban New England homes such as colonials and bungalows. Tat says, "Some triple-deckers, you step inside, and it feels like a step back in time. But more of them are getting renovated in the Worcester area, keeping the exterior aesthetic and remodeling the interiors for a more modern look." As with many urban neighborhoods, North Quinsigamond's properties are larger and take up sidewalk space, which is available but not widespread.
