One of Olentangy Highland's biggest appeals is that it is based within a rapidly growing part of Columbus. WBNS 10TV recently reported that the Olentangy Local School District is expected to add 12,000 new homes in the next decade. Shaded by oaks and sycamores, Olentangy Highlands is a place where residents golf at the nearby country club in the mornings and host backyard cookouts in the evenings. The nearby forested parks complement the neighborhood’s rustic New Traditional housing style that defines the neighborhood. For date nights and special events, several fine dining establishments are along the neighborhood’s southern edge. “You’ve got entertainment, food and shopping within a 2-mile drive,” says Realtor Darcie Barton, who sells homes in the neighborhood with Keller Williams Capital Partners. “Because of the convenience factor, people do not sell often.” The median household income is about $187,000, compared to Worthington's median household income of $119,000.
