Cielo Verde’s homes are mostly 21st-century new traditional builds that feature Pueblo- or Spanish Revival-style details like tan stucco exteriors and terracotta-tiled roofs. These homes are all set on gravel-packed lots that range from 8,000 to 9,000 square feet. “You’re going to see a variety of landscaping," Badilla says. "You could have trees, lawns or desert plants—and you’re going to have sidewalks, curbs and driveways.” Most local homes have three or four bedrooms, attached garages and private courtyards. Prices range from $300,000 to $500,000, depending on property size and special features like multi-car garages or covered patios.
