Atlanta Bedroom community with multiple annual events
Nearly the midway point between Atlanta and Athens, Loganville is a bedroom community that offers a slice of small-town America. With a population of around 15,000, the city has multiple events, concerts on the town green, and holiday festivals; the city provides a lifestyle but is near major jobs in Atlanta. “Loganville is the gateway between the city life of Atlanta and rural northeast Georgia,” says Brett Fowler, a resident and Loganville’s Public Information Officer. “You can get a good mix of city or rural lifestyle, but it is very much a bedroom community where most people live and head to work in Atlanta.”

Massive event slate in Loganville
The city has a massive event slate, mostly during warmer months. Groovin' on the Green is a free live concert series that the city hosts on the town's green on the third Friday of each month from May to September. There are also holiday celebrations, like Independence Day, Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting, but its biggest event is Autumn Fest. The festival is one of the largest in the surrounding area and features nearly 200 vendors along Main Street on the third Saturday of October. Festival goers will also find live music, food and drink, and a kids' zone.

Multiple architectural styles in quiet subdivisions
Loganville subdivisions feature curving roads lined with towering old-growth oaks and maples. Homes were built between the early 1900s, and new construction continues now. Homebuyers can choose multiple architectural styles from ranch homes, Cape Cods, Colonial Revivals and contemporary homes with two-car garages. Based on the property’s condition and size, prices range from $300,000 to $930,000. “You get more bang for your buck in Loganville than places closer to the city,” says Mark Myers, the broker for Myers Team Realty and Walton County resident. “The market has slowed down compared to the last two years but is still steady. People live here because it is quieter, but they can still get to Atlanta relatively quickly.”
