Popular restaurants in The Triangle Center
Many of Longview’s shops and restaurants are in The Triangle Center, just 2 miles northeast of Saint Helens. “I’m not sure that you’ll walk to a restaurant from Saint Helens, but Silver Star and The Office 842 are pretty popular,” says Scott Foister, local Realtor with RE/MAX Premier Group. Silver Star Sports Bar & Grill has live music and a happy hour, and The Office 842 is an all-day cocktail lounge serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, locals can grab a bite at My Thai Kitchen within the neighborhood, which is right next door to 20th Avenue Grocery. More neighborhood markets and restaurants line Oregon Way along the eastern edge of Saint Helens.

Scenic Lake Sacajawea
Picturesque Lake Sacajawea creates the northern border of Saint Helens and Cloney Park creates the western border. “Lake Sacajawea is really popular. Everybody walks their dogs and jogs – it’s always busy every time I drive by. It’s probably the biggest thing in Longview,” says Michelle Rohrbach, broker at John L. Scott Real Estate who specializes in southwest Washington. Here, residents can stop and smell the flowers while walking through the Frank Willis Arboretum and the Japanese garden. The lake contains trout and bass, and fishing is permitted year-round. Families can stop by Lake Sacajawea on select summer nights for free concerts and movie showings. On a typical day, bikers and picnickers may spot geese by the lake (and should keep an eye out for droppings). Cloney Park contains a BMX bike track, a skate park and a playground.
