It also neighbors downtown and the Marietta Square. “It’s walking distance, and that’s always a plus,” she says. The neighborhood is a mix of residential communities to the north, and businesses, offices and other services in the south. A veterinary clinic, multiple childcare centers and a residential recovery program for people experiencing homelessness and substance misuse disorders can all be found in the area. Multiple churches are spread throughout the neighborhood. The Marietta National Cemetery sits at the edge in the southwest corner. There are more than 300 homes lining the narrow, hilly tree-lined streets in Fort Hill-Roosevelt. Properties include condos and townhomes, which list between $450,000 and 590,000, as well as single-family homes. Smaller homes, averaging about 1,000 square feet, include ranches and bungalows built between the 1940s and 1960s and sell for between $370,000 and $450,000.
