Why Live in Muse
Muse was once a small coal mining town in West Pennsylvania. Today, it’s a rural neighborhood full of houses sitting on rolling hills. “It’s a nice, small town,” says John Fincham, a Realtor with Keller Williams Realty who has worked in the area for nearly two decades. “You blink your eyes and you’re right through the town.” This rural town, 20 miles from downtown Pittsburgh, offers a peaceful atmosphere with acres of hilly green space. "Muse is for people who like small-town living; those who are overwhelmed by masses of people," says Terra Bradley, Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices in Washington, who was born and raised in the area. The area is part of the Canon-McMillan School District. This is considered a very good school district, says Brenda Deems, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway The Preferred Realty who has worked in the area for over two decades. “Most people want their kids to go to school here,” she says. Children can attend Muse Elementary School, which receives an A-minus from Niche, for kindergarten through fourth grade. This school has an active parent-teacher organization that sponsors classroom parties, book fairs and educational programs. For grades
