By design, parks and playgrounds are within walking distance of each home, and sought-after schools are within biking distance. “The school district is the big draw,” says local Kimberly Ritter, a Realtor with Carolina One Real Estate. “And there are trails that take you all the way to the schools, so kids don’t have to bike on main roads.” Shopping and dining options are also right in the neighborhood, as are doctor’s offices and Roper St. Francis Mount Pleasant Hospital. “Once people get in there, they stay,” Ritter says. “They just upgrade or downsize to a new house in the neighborhood.” Park West is home to 29 distinct subdivisions built by various contractors.
