Panoramic mountain views are the icing on the cake in amenity-rich Murray

Murray is the fourteenth largest city in Utah, occupying 9 square miles and it is home to about 50,000 residents. With growing employment, highly-ranked schools, a notable park system and a destination just 9 miles from downtown Salt Lake City, it’s no wonder Murray is ranked one of the Best Suburbs to Live in Utah by Niche. It offers amenities that suburban dwellers require while providing premier dining and shopping options that will please urban dwellers. Located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains and offering panoramic views of Mount Olympus, Murray offers a wide variety of home styles and sizes to enjoy the views. From ranch-style homes, Colonial Revivals, and estate-style homes to two-story townhouses and condominiums, buyers can find homes from $400,000 to over $2 million.

According to Realtor Lisa Herron-McKinney, with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Utah Properties and a Salt Lake City real estate agent for 30 years, “Not only is Murray well-established with a wide range of home sizes and styles, but it also has enviable amenities including top notch hospitals, great shopping, and award-winning schools. It also has lower taxes than other Salt Lake City communities, which helps to drive home buyers here.”

Important to Know

With the drying up of the Great Salt Lake, agriculture, water production and air quality are at risk. The City of Salt Lake is taking measures to conserve and access new sources of water to divert to the Great Salt Lake. Without successful measures, it is forecasted that the city’s water supply will fall below demand by 2040.

The home itself was designed for both scale and livability. Spaces are open where they should be and defined where it matters, creating a natural
