Buyers can find a vast assortment of architecture in Metropolitan Hill. Various revivalist-style rowhouses and Italianate brownstones line lush side streets. In the neighborhood’s most prestigious area, The Metropolitan Museum Historic District, stately Beaux-Arts mansions are tucked between luxury, limestone high-rises, like the co-op at 1020 Fifth Avenue, which was designed by the same architects as Grand Central Terminal. Four modes of transportation

Two subway stations along Lexington Avenue flank the neighborhood: the 6 train at 77th Street and the 4, 5 and 6 trains at 86th Street. Over 10 bus lines service the area, heading in all directions. To cut through the park to the Upper West Side, residents hop on the crosstown M79 or M86 express bus. Taxis and Citi bikes are also readily available along the avenues.
