City amenities with a family feel
Named for the knoll on which much of the neighborhood is established, Spring Hill is a Norwalk community of rolling streets, modest homes and a hospital that has served the area since 1893. Situated just west of Downtown Norwalk and flanked by bustling thoroughfares, Spring Hill offers a convenient location to its family-centric community. “Spring Hill has easy access to all the amenities the city offers within quick minutes,” says Realtor and broker Brain Clarke Jr, who has 20 years of experience in real estate. “It’s very close to the main hospital and major highways like Interstate 95 and the parkway.”

“With Spring Hill’s convenience comes shopping, too,” Clarke says. “Mom-and-pop shops are within walking distance, and several stores and restaurants are nearby.” A few locales reflect the close-knit feel of the community, including Blue Cactus Grill, which serves Southwest-inspired burgers and cheesesteaks. Folks enjoy fresh, handmade donuts and classic breakfast plates at Speedy Donuts or opt for an old-fashioned slice of pizza at Uncle Joe’s. Norwalk’s Annual Oyster Festival
The city’s residents gather annually for the Norwalk Oyster Festival. With a myriad of activities, the festival boasts three days of local vendors, food and free entertainment. Held at Veteran’s Memorial Park, the festival is going on its 46th year. “The oyster fest is like a hybrid of a farmers market and craft fair,” Clarke says. “Plus, big-name performances, kids rides, local breweries and really good food.” Across Route 7, a cluster of churches ranging from many denominations also hosts community events.
