The historic Ondawa building is one of the oldest buildings in Salem, NY. It was originally the first tavern and hotel in Salem during the 1800’s. From 1916 to 1980 it was the Abrams department store. The Ondawa sits on the site of the first cabin and settlement in Salem, built by William Turner.
