The nation’s first African-American-owned shopping center was built just outside Ludlow in 1968. Appropriately named, Progress Plaza recently added its most popular tenant, The Fresh Grocer. Most of the local business here are either run by Temple or family owned or been here for ages. Some of them have there building looking horrible while others just have bad service.

Nowhere is ever going to be a utopia. Ludlow is VERY up and coming.. with easy access to 95 makes getting around easier and with all the new construction the area is attracting a lot of young working professionals.
