Golfer’s paradise on the outskirts of Philadelphia
Home to the highest point in Camden County, Pine Hill is a quiet community located 15 miles southeast of Philadelphia and 45 miles from the Jersey shore. Here, residents enjoy cultural diversity and lower housing costs than in suburbs closer to Philadelphia. The community offers golf courses within proximity, making this an ideal location for those who don’t want to live far from the green. Residents will feel a sense of community in Pine Hill’s annual events that draw locals and visitors, like the holiday home decorating contest and Christmas parade. The hilly terrain here helps the neighborhood stand out according to Kenneth Weidler, broker associate at BHHS Fox & Roach-Washington-Gloucester, who has been working in New Jersey real estate since 1985. “There is a section of Pine Hill where you can sit in your backyard and see the Philadelphia skyline,” he says.
Residential areas with a variety of housing styles
Pine Hill contains not one but two private golf clubs with residential areas in between. Red brick sidewalks lined with oak and elm trees highlight the two thoroughfares in the neighborhood, Erial Road and Branch Avenue, which cross through each other in the center of town at Veterans Memorial Park. Here, residents will find ranches and Cape Cod homes that sell for $150,000-$250,000. On the outskirts of town, buyers will find larger Colonial Revival, 1970s contemporary and split-level homes priced higher, up to $440,000. Pine Hill also has Colonial-style townhouses with garages, tidy sidewalks and driveways in the Tall Pines subdivision. The townhouses cost between $200,000 and $275,000 and an HOA covers access to a pool and tennis courts.

Students start their education at either John Glenn or Albert Bean Elementary before heading to Pine Hill Middle School, all of which have an overall C rating on Niche. Students then go on to Overbrook High School, which has an overall B-minus rating on Niche. The high school has an active arts program and efforts that reflect its diverse student body, like a multicultural club and a teacher-hosted podcast, “Talking with Teachers,” covering tough topics that affect students, including race, current events and education.
Pine Hill offers neighborhood parks and acres of golf clubs
Recreational options for all ages give residents plenty of reasons to get outside. Residents can relax at Pine Hill Memorial Park, a grassy space with shade, park benches and a small pavilion in the center of town. Pine Hill Youth Association baseball games draw residents to the six sandy ball diamonds at Joey Green Sports Complex where kids ages 4-18 play ball each summer. Residents can also bring youngsters to the playground there, which features accessible swings and slides. For walking trails and a football field, head south to Charlie Bowen Recreation Complex. But big hikers will probably prefer to drive to longer, wooded trails a few miles east at Berlin Park or west at Blackwood Lake Park.
The two members-only golf courses to the east and the west of Pine Hill offer peaceful views of the Philadelphia skyline. While the Pine Valley Golf Club has ranked number one in the world by “Golf Digest” every year since 2017, residents may find it difficult to visit. Weidler says: “It’s ultra, ultra private. Like, the Pope can’t get a membership there.” Instead, residents can hit the green at National Golf Club to the west of town.

Pine Hill is nice small town where everyone tends to grow up with each other at. Very few people know about Pine Hill unless you live at the next town over. It seems to be a safe place so it does not really need a lot of improvements.

This town in not the best town I've ever been in but it's not bad either. It's rather small and does have some evidence of crime and "creepy people". But overall it's just a small town with some run-down areas and some decent areas
