This unincorporated Brevard County locale is one of the numerous shoreline communities that make up Florida’s Space Coast. Port St. John is largely made up subdivisions located right between the cities of Titusville to the north and Cocoa to the south. Like its neighbors, Port St. John sits right along the Indian River lagoon, which separates it from the Merritt Island peninsula that is well known for the Kennedy Space Center and its affiliated facilities. Many who live here work elsewhere, and some come from even as far as Orlando 45 miles to the west. “It’s really a bedroom community, with a couple restaurants here and there, and a grocery store,” says Paul Hayhurst, an associate broker with Re/Max Aerospace Realty and who has made over a dozen sales in Port St. John.
