This home is so much more than great bones, and yes if you need to could be updated, but so very livable as is. Many features as follows: newer roof, better than good heat, central AC, 2 x 6 exterior walls, great space (no small rooms), flooring in good condition, all Andersen windows, mostly finished basement with flue for stove with it's own chimney, small cold room in basement, laundry shoot from 2nd fl. main bath, security system with panic button, 5 car garage which could with some work be adapted to in-law suite - either the detached 2 car garage (also had additional oil tanks for when needed such as the cold winter we had or scarce oil supply) or one of the bays in the attached 3 car heated garage, or additional living space such as first fl. master suite, near the end of a cul-de-sac - so quiet and little traffic. Very well cared for property, use your creativity. Such a fine development and location with good schools. Wishing well and pump do not remain.
