The homeowners share that they have spent many hours enjoying the numerous birds, some of whom are here year around, others that are here for a season or two. Their favorite is the charming, garrulous Brant Geese who call the West Coast estuaries their winter homes.  The number of Brant Geese that arrive to the bay can be as many as several thousand, but were closer to 500 last fall and winter.  Their numbers recently have been increasing due to a rejuvenation of the eelgrass supply, their primary source of food.
