The lumber is 150+/- years old in the interior of the cabin. Pine and cedar timber from this property was also used, both inside and out. The custom wood-burning fireplace with meticulously placed flagstone and cedar mantel are striking, as are the tall windows overlooking the lake. The kitchen pine "bluewood" cabinetry was cut from this farm, and the brick used inside was from the old homeplace kitchen. Through the trees, natural sunlight invades the interior as does the moonlight. The cabin has 1 bedroom down, full bath , living area, kitchen, dining area, and utility closet. Upstairs is 1 large bedroom with a queen bed, 2 twin beds, baby bed, full bathroom, and walk-in attic. The cabin is fully furnished, with the owners searching the state of Texas for "just the right thing". Antiques, custom handcrafted furnishings, and newer designer items make up the tasteful collection inside. Double ovens, 4- burner gas cooktop (new in 2025), griddle, Hashizaki undercounter ice maker, and pantry complete the roomy kitchen. Relax on the vaulted back porch anytime of the day overlooking the lake, often spotting deer, turtles, or cranes. The flagstone patio sports a fire pit for those special nights - s'mores never tasted so good!
Never run out activities at the farm! Hunt for deer on your own land! Fish and swim in your own lake! Be a pirate on the pontoon! The custom-built swing set can be enjoyed by all- tall and sturdy, this experience is unsurpassed! There are miles of trails, perfect for the ATV, horseback riding, 4-wheeling, mountain and dirt biking, and exploring. There's room for everything: target practice, go-cart riding, playing ping-pong under the carport, relaxing in a hammock, anything and everything - be creative! After a full day of fun at the farm (and slinging mud onto each other with their wheelers) one grandson exclaimed, "Papa, this was the best day of my life!"
