Although supplied by the main HVAC system, the main bedroom also has a separate heat pump with remote control. It is quiet, works well, and was serviced in Dec 2022.
A small electric in-wall heater in the mudroom for extra warmth, drying clothes, shoes; works well.
The basement has been renovated. It features a new laundry room, utility room, and approx. 8X22 family room with closet. The band joist was sealed and insulated with two layers of R-19 insulation. The walls have R-13 insulation as well. New waterproof vinyl plank floors (with pad), new suspended ceiling in the laundry room, new lighting, level 4 walls (smooth drywall) and lightly textured ceilings. The LED lighting in the fam room and laundry can accept a dimmer switch and the brightness/color can be adjusted. All fam room outlets are tamper resistant. All outlets and lights are protected by GFCI/ArcFault circuit breaker.
Water in the house is softened by a water softener located in the utility room.
The water heater was installed in 2021 and is programmable. The program schedule and power usage can be accessed by cell phone. It also has an automatic shut-off valve in case of leak.
Ceiling fan and light in the main bedroom is new and there is a remote.
The outdoor faucets and in-ground sprinklers can be shut off and drained in the utility room for the winter.
The detached garage faces Harrison Ave (a snow route). It has a separate circuit breaker panel which powers lights and the garage door.
*The attic is well insulated with both roll and blown in insulation.
*Kitchen is all electric. It has pull out drawers, concealed garbage, and under cabinet lighting.
*Smoke alarms are in each bedroom and smoke detectors/CO detectors on each floor. They are new and battery powered. Two fire extinguishers are installed (mud room and utility room).
*The majority of the water supply plumbing is copper and there are three hammer resisters (new)
