The farm consists of 735 total acres per Greene County tax accessor and 736.22 cropland acres in three tracts within one mile of each other. All but 120 acres have been precision leveled to grade with approximately 73 acres being zero grade.
The soils are approximately 70% silt loams and 30% silty clay loams. These soils are well suited for raising corn, rice, and soybeans. Rice and soybeans have been the crop rotation for many years.
There are two 40,000-bushel GSI grain bins approximately 17 years old. There are two wells powered by diesel power units (retained by owner), two electric turbine wells, a submersible well and a permanent relift pump and weir in the drainage ditch to irrigate two small fields. There is one well on neighboring property that is leased by the owner and irrigates the 32-acre tract.
