In 2021 this 1850 built Enfield Old Scitico Schoolhouse was fully remodeled into a gorgeous 4 bed, 2.5 bath, 2,187sqft, home. Renovations included; taking the home down to the original Shakers Period built framework and fully insulating the home. Adding new sheetrock, new trim-work, windows, and new interior and exterior doors. Home was connected to city sewers, and reconnected to city water. Got new 2 zone forced hot air propane heating system, with new central AC, new electric hot water system, all new electrical and plumbing systems and fixtures. Kitchen got new island, granite counter tops, all new shaker style cabinet doors, wood look vinyl plank flooring and some appliances. We salvaged a good deal of the old wide plank wainscoting in the living room and office, and wainscoting in 2nd floor 2nd bedroom, laundry room and stairs. We added a set of double French doors, an office, laundry room, and mudroom. We gave this home a nice open feel with nearly 9ft ceilings throughout most of the home. The primary bedroom has its own full bath and walk-in closet, The home just glistens from the new ceiling light LED cans and room light fixtures reflecting their light off the restored/new gleaming floors.
