The Amos Robinson House ca 1785 is the oldest recorded residence in Northfield. Amos was the first settler of Northfield and choose a most advantageous site for his farmstead. Excellent southern exposure, abundant water from a natural spring, well drained soils, productive woodlands. Over the years, the farmstead proved to be most productive with it's fertile fields providing prosperity to the Robinson family. As the family grew a full cape style house was added to the original residence.
