For the first time since 1974 this historic Bryan landmark is available. The three story home was built in 1916 by Sim Edge who owned and operated the Edge Dry Goods Co. in downtown. The home was build to rigorous specifications (which are at the Carnegie Library) by 60 carpenters in 60 days. The details are too numerous to enumerate and the home is a well-preserved example of early 20th Century American Foursquare architecture. Also part of the listing is an 1881 train depot that was originally located in Mumford. The home is full of character and has served many needs to downtown Bryan as a private residence, a boarding house, and other uses.
