You may encounter wildlife, as it is common to see deer, turkey, and bears roaming around. Colorado Springs Airport is 36 miles away, about a 45-minute drive, and Denver Airport is a two-hour drive. It is 39 miles to the Air Force Academy, 20 miles to Manitou Springs, 24 miles to Garden of the Gods, 26 miles to Cripple Creek, 61 miles to Royal Gorge, and 6 miles (15 minutes) to Charis Bible College. Some of the roads are steep, so 4WD or AWD will be necessary in the winter.
Uber and taxis are available but may be difficult to get on short notice, and 4WD or AWD is highly recommended.
