Living Room focal point is the wood burning stone fireplace in the corner with a deep wrap-around hearth. It features a gas fire-starter. The fireplace front and tools were designed and made by Ben Eaton, a local artisan who does custom work. He also designed the iron firewood rack next to the hearth. There are two electrical outlets on the mantle. Views look to the mountains with aspens and evergreens on one side. Dining Room faces the Elk Mountains. It is adjacent to both the kitchen and living room but is “bumped out” to create an area which has windows on three sides. The table seats six with generous spacing, but the game table chairs are identical and one or two could be added around the table to seat seven or eight. Kitchen is spacious with room for multiple people and features a bar with swivel seating for three and a low side on one end, ideal for serving food or seating a young child (also called a pastry table). The stovetop is GE Profile electric but is also ‘plumbed’ for conversion to gas. The refrigerator and microwave are also GE Profile. The dishwasher is Bosch. There is a deep pantry and furniture style hutch and small ‘kitchen desk’. There is indirect lighting above and below the eye level cabinets along with granite countertops. Game Table is ideal for game nights or working jigsaw puzzles. The adjacent open space is great for little kids with blocks or train sets. It is also great open space for entertaining. Note: The open space on the main floor has large log posts and ceiling beams, adding ‘mountain character’. Office is enclosed private space with built-in desk, ideal for Zoom meetings and conference calls. It has two comfortable chairs (with adjustable reclining back) and an ottoman so it offers good space for reading or private conversations for two or three people. There is a walk-in closet with wood shelves for storage of office supplies, etc.
