The "ice house" was built in 1874 and moved to stanton road in the 1960's at which time this house was built using the "ice house" as its center. It is currently the diningroom with the old floor boards and a remaining exposed beam separating the dining room and kitchen. Elise owen's family owned linden hall and most of the surrounding land which was donated to the town ie the ball field "owen field" and "owen drive". Elise was a musician and built the 18x28 living room to be accoustically perfect for her performances.
