About This Home

Feel at home in this 3-bedroom, 2-bath beach house in the heart of Crystal Beach, on the Bolivar Peninsula. Here, the sand runs wide and flat, and the days are simple: beach, sun, good food, and sleep.
Inside, this home is built for people to be together. The living room is open and bright and features an electric fireplace that throws a soft glow on cool nights, with a big sofa. The kitchen opens to the room, so whoever is cooking is still part of the talk. Outside, there is space to sit, eat, and watch the light change. A partially covered deck works for morning coffee when the air is still cool or for a last drink when the stars come out. Below, you’ll find outdoor seating, a dining area, and a grill, so suppers can be cooked and eaten in the open air. Down in the garage hangout, there is a propane fire pit, chairs pulled around it, and room for a cooler with a few outdoor games.
You can drive your own car or truck right onto most stretches of the beach with a Bolivar Beach parking sticker, then park by the water and set up for the day.
The house sits in a quiet pocket near the center of Crystal Beach. The streets are simple and low, with houses on pilings and the Gulf out in front of it all. You hear the surf on still nights. In the morning, you can be on the sand in a short walk or a quick golf cart ride, driving along the wide, open beach the peninsula is known for. Around you is an easy-going beach town where people move slow. At night the neighborhood is mostly quiet. You sit on the deck and see porch lights, a few carts heading home, and the dark line of the Gulf beyond.
The house sleeps 8 people. Any extra guests must be cleared before booking. Only registered guests may stay. Visitors need approval first. Do not park under the house. Use the driveway only and take care not to hit the pilings. If a key is lost, or you are locked out after all normal access options have been tried, you will be responsible for any locksmith or re-key fees (call-out, labor, parts, after-hours charges). If the problem is caused by a bad lock or by a mistake, it will be covered. Do not leave food sitting out. It brings pests. Keep the house reasonably clean as you go. It makes check-out simpler for everyone. If something is damaged by accident, it should be reported as soon as possible. Keep noise down at night so neighbors can rest. Do not move the furniture, inside or out. Grill only downstairs on the patio, never on the deck. Please clean the grill after you use it. Rinse sand off with the shower downstairs and leave sandy shoes at the door or on the deck by the entrance. Do not flush feminine products or anything that could harm the septic system. Do not pour grease down any drain. Lock all doors when you leave the house. If guests are asked to leave because of rule-breaking or reckless behavior, there will be no refunds. In a mandatory hurricane evacuation, you will receive a full refund or a credit for any unused nights. We are not responsible for accidents, injuries, or lost or stolen items during your stay. By booking, you accept responsibility for your own safety and for the safety of any guests you bring. There are no lifeguards on Crystal Beach. You swim at your own risk. If something breaks and the damage comes from careless behavior, the cost may fall to you.
A hold of $200 is placed on your card before you arrive. After you book, you’ll get a secure link to enter your card details. The hold is set 3 days before check-out and released 4 days after check-out, as long as there is no damage to the house. [SI]
