The R Train at 77th Street is less than a minute's walk away. You can transfer to either express line (D or N) a few short stops uptown. Local buses are on 3rd Avenue and express transportation can be caught on Shore Road. You can also take the ferry straight to Financial District for the pier!

Adelphi, Bay Ridge prep, Fort Hamilton High School and Xaverian are all within the neighborhood.
