Grant Todd, a local salesman, and his wife Miss May Holmes, who purchased the house in early 1889 for $2,000. A sunray pattern detail can be seen on the front gable, and slender turned wood posts with carved brackets provide support for the adorable wood front porch that has unique curved railings and amazing mountain views. Other exterior features include wood siding, a front bay, dormer windows, fish scale shingles, and many original windows. Once inside, you’ll be taken back in time with original Douglas Fir flooring, tall ceilings, transom windows above the doors, and period fixtures. The front parlor has a bay window with stained glass, picture frame molding, ceiling fan and tall baseboards. Through a large pocket door archway, you’ll find the formal dining room with a built-in bookcase under the stairs and a ceiling fan. The expansive kitchen has a curved breakfast bar, ample wood cabinetry, stainless appliances, Caeserstone countertops, and a gas cooktop. The front en-suite bedroom has an attached bathroom with claw-foot tub, pull-chain toilet, and wood vanity. The second en-suite bedroom has an attached ¾ bath with walk-in shower and wainscoting.
